The Selected Few

A few of us in the world have been selected. If you are reading this and questioning whether or not you are one of the few, it means you are not. There is nothing wrong with that, we just ask that you sit back and follow.

Black History Month Snap Back Hats

Welllll, its been a while (Nico is a loaf of bread) since there was a post on here so I decided to use it to test my new video posting account. This clip from the 90s show, Living Single, shows Overton (John Henton) rocking one of the Brothaman hats from back in the day. I know he’s wack, but he’s funny at times if you pay attention. Watch as he tries to go smack at Synclaire (Kim Coles) and gets carried on the low, then makes a dash when he sees the mission is no good. Look at his face. Ha! The snap back hat will be available at ModernxClassic.com as a part of a Black History Month run they are doing.

New Balance 575 Pigeon

The folks at Staple have come back hard with another pigeon design. This time collaborating with the hometown favorite, New Balance, this 575 model is sure to be one to remember. Originally said to be 800 pairs worldwide, the release will now only consist of about 650. Let’s not start another Reed Space riot, but if you can grab a pair, then do. These release on August 6th at Reed Space and Barney’s New York in the States. More pics after the jump. Thanks Jeff. Read the rest of this entry »

Complex x KAWS x REAS

This year’s Style & Design Complex magazine is about to release. The last time KAWS did a magazine cover with i-D I bought a few of them to keep. I don’t know how I’m going to act with KAWS… AND REAS on this Complex. Definitely a cop, but maybe not as serious. Check out the design though!!! See some more cool pics at HB and check out behind the scenes video at Universe City.

Ready to Die (Unreleased Originals)

Well, it seems that some of Biggie’s classic Ready to Die album has yet to be released and until now it has been unavailable. This is a personal favorite of mine and I consider it classic. This version is the uncleared version, so all the stuff that the album was supposed to be before it went through the clearance process. It’s RAW!!! Thanks to 2 the Dope Boyz.Download link after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

John Legend x Andre 3000 “Green Light”

I love when songs come out and they are just instant vintage. This has happened with this new John Legend single, “Green Light”. The song has absolutely just massaged my ears. G.O.O.D. Music never lets me down. Seriously. Two favorites collabing for this one, it just might have you asking your girl to give YOU the green light. Link after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

About SMITH: “Shake It, Sh-Sha-Shake It Like A…”

You’re damn right folks. I have resurrected this beautiful Polaroid Spirit 600 camera, and I am very satisfied with my findings. Thanks 3000. Read the rest of this entry »

Subtle. Free.

These new Nike Free Hybrid Boots are pretty cool if you ask me. I’ve always been a fan of the Free technology, as well as the easy favorite, the Huarache, so its not hard to understand why I find these fly. You might be able to sneak these in the club, maybe. Thanks to Decatur Dan for the photos. These are pretty cool for just chilling, and believe me.. extreeeeemely comfortable. The price tag, $150. Worth it though. Kick it with these. I Don’t Know How Long This Will Last

Well, after Rock the Bells, its like I can’t get the music out of my head. You know that ringing you get when you are anywhere live like that, its still here. I don’t know how long these posts will last but I think you will find them enjoyable. And so instead of being like to other billion folks there posting their weak camera phone footage, I have decided to just break you off with some classic videos that Rock the Bells reminded me of. This first one comes from Tribe, and it features couple other classic folks that you may need to get acquainted with. Do that searching yourself. Check out the classic snap-back caps in the video too, we have stamped those official at The Selected Few, so hop on. For now, enjoy this sh*t and pretend you were there.

Remember Just Do It? I Do!!!

And its back in full effect. And with one of my favorite bands, The Killers (check them out by the way). In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Just Do It campaign launch, the flashing clips include everything from Lance Armstrong to the new BMX sh*t, to classic Jordan, for me, this commercial/ad is amazing! I may just be the ultimate Nike fan, but I love this joint. They just happened to combine a lot of elements that I find relevant, and the Nike stamp makes it a little bit more official lol. This is the perfect time to launch this with the greatest games ever played, the Olympics, around the corner. Watch this. Video after the jump. Props SlamX. Read the rest of this entry »
